      What is the overall R-value of the Panel+ Wall Assembly?

      ~ 5.26 R-value per 1" inch Panel+.

      To calculate the combined R-value of your wall assembly, we'll sum the R-values of each component:
      Panel+ Wall System Layers

      1. 5/8" Gypsum Board Sheathing: Approximately R-0.56.

      2. 1" Old Mill EPS Foam Panel: R-value varies with temperature:

        • R-4.2 at 75°F
        • R-4.6 at 40°F
        • R-4.8 at 25°F

      3. Old Mill Thin Brick with S-Type Mortar Grout: Approximately R-0.1 for 1/2" thickness.

      Combined R-value Calculation:

      • Gypsum Board: R-0.56
      • Old Mill EPS Foam Panel: R-4.2 to R-4.8 (depending on temperature)
      • Thin Brick with Mortar: R-0.1

      Total R-value:

      • At 75°F: 0.56 + 4.2 + 0.1 = R-4.86
      • At 40°F: 0.56 + 4.6 + 0.1 = R-5.26
      • At 25°F: 0.56 + 4.8 + 0.1 = R-5.46

      These combined R-values indicate moderate insulation performance.
