Is the thin brick system fully non-combustible and suitable for use around a wood-burning fireplace surround?

Thin brick itself is a non-combustible material, conforming to ASTM standards such as ASTM C1088

The system’s overall fire resistance depends on the assembly, including the substrate and adhesives used. If installed with non-combustible components (e.g., cement backer board and mortar), it can be suitable for a wood-burning fireplace surround. Thin brick systems, when paired with appropriate non-combustible substrates like cement board or masonry, are generally considered non-combustible.

Our thin bricks are real brick, made of fired clay, which is non-combustible.
